- Nicholas is the principal of N.Panos &
Associates, a progressive boutique law firm.
- Prior to forming N.Panos & Associates,
Nicholas was an associate partner in a medium sized firm of
solicitors and was responsible for establishing that firm's tax law
practice.
- Nicholas has also worked for one of the big
five accounting firms as a tax consultant.
- Currently Nicholas is specialising in all
areas of tax law (including GST), superannuation with particular
emphasis on self managed superannuation funds, company law, business
succession planning, estate planning, trusts and general commercial
matters.
- He holds a Bachelor of Economics degree, a
Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree and a Masters of Law Degree all
from the University of Sydney.
- He is one of a very small group of
solicitors (currently five) who have been accredited by the Law
Society as tax law specialists.
- Nicholas has a diverse range of clients
including small to medium size enterprises and high net worth
individuals.
- Nicholas is a fellow of the Taxation
Institute of Australia and member of the Law Society of NSW.
- Nicholas is the chairman of the Parramatta
Tax Discussion Group as well as the Parramatta Breakfast Club.
- He has served on the Tax Liaison Committee
of the Parramatta Taxation Office and was also a member of the Large
Business Income Discussion Group at that office.
- He is a former State Counsellor of the
Taxation Institute of Australia and a current member of its
education committee.
- Nicholas frequently presents papers at both
professional and industry seminars and is the author of a number of
papers on tax.
